back to wildlife cameras

feeder cam feeder cam:

Here are all the videos I have that were taken by one of several trail cameras I've set out over the years,
aimed at my feeder and set to record short video when they detect motion.

During the day they record in color, and at night they switch to IR illumination and are limited to recording
in black-and-white. My summer nighttime visitors consist mostly of raccoons and opossums, but I don't see
much in the winter overnight.

At around 15 feet from the camera, the animal will need to be about cat-size to trigger the motion sensor,
so I won't record small animals unless they're in a group or are there at the same time as something larger.
Image quality is fairly good, but less than you'd get with a decent cell phone during the day, and resolution
is lower at night.
